At Mormon Helping Hands Day, we had 3 areas the saints were cleaning up, our ward and 2 other wards cleaned this bike trail. It was 2 miles long. We were assigned to the check in table but after we finished an appointment with an investigator family we changed into our work clothes and went back to work and helping rake and hoe like these people in the picture below.
cleaning the sides of the trail. A dump truck came along and swept it up after we got everything to the middle of the path.
We had painters to clean off the graffetti on the fences and weed eater that made a big difference
Brother Braid was in charge of the day. He helped plant trees and take out the dead ones. It was amazing to see the difference this made. People were coming out of their houses to thank us for our help and tell us how much they appreciated the work we were doing. I'm sure they felt blessed in the other areas of the city as well. It was a great experience.
the roses are so beautiful, they are everywhere. These are in our back yard along the beauty shop
This one is in the front yard. It is taller than I am. We are enjoying them so much.
This is another one by the shop. they are so delicate and soft. I hope they last all summer.
This one is as tall as a tree. I hadn't seen one like it before. They help remind us to take time to smell the roses.
